I like the Most Beautiful Women, who happen to be from the Czech region of the World.  Also they know how to Behave in Bed, are not like most American women!  Also I like the Russian women who know how to please their Guys!   Not Stormy or Rosie O'Donnell!!!  It's a Man's World!  That's what Fischer said too, right?!

I'm looking Forward to more chess in my days ahead.  I'm getting tired of Twitter, too many Haters!!!

I may be a bit late to this discussion as I have just logged back on/signed in after years, but I like this discussion as I was thinking about something similar earlier today.

The most valuable lesson that I’ve learned from both Chess and Investing (that’s the similar topic that I was thinking about earlier) that applies to life is: every move counts, be patient, but deliberate, take your time developing your long-term strategy,  and wait for the right opportunity.  Also, don’t mourn missed opportunities;  another will eventually present itself as long as your blunder isn’t fatal.

Definitely  true!

I think it’s cool seeing how many principles and strategies in chess can be utilized to make better moves at home.

What is a principle or tactic from chess that can be applied to the real world?

If you want to believe something is true then you have to spend most of your time and energy trying to figure out why it's wrong.

God knows what the heck that means.

I want to believe it's some saying in iron chef when the theme is pressure cooking lol.

And you could learn that from anything (and probably a lot more efficiently too).  Not just chess.

I don't even know who you're talking to (I haven't read any other posts yet) but what you said is useful to point out whenever this topic appears.

Doesn't sound like something he'd say, so I googled it, and sure enough it pops up on a "6 things Darwin never said" site.

"Are chess principles life principles?"

I would probably NOT sacrifice my children so my wife can cozy up to the other king.

maybe it's in the idiocracy movie.

Yeah, that's an apt reference, because it's not the strong or smart who survive. Fundamentally it's the horny and fertile that survive. That's closer to the truth of evolution.

Yes in many ways we can or rather automatically use chess principles in our lives.
Or we can say that - if we look back in the history of chess then we can realise that chess itself is developed from life principles..
