It's better to play bullet as if you play Rapid then in those (let's say total combined of both players is 14 min)get 15 trophies if you win whereas in bullet you get 3 trophies if you win.Suppose you play for 1min without increment then the total time is 2min(both players inclusive).Therefore you can play 7 bullet matches in the same time you play 1rapid match.(14/2=7).Then you get (3×7=21)21 trophies if you win 7 matches of 1min without increment bullet.So you get more trophies in the same amount of time.

Honestly, getting to champion is way to easy but it’s pretty much impossible to get to legend league. The highest finish that I have gotten in champion is 8th place, with 950+ points.
Another issue is that it takes weeks to get into a champion league, as they are few and far between.
Getting to legend is almost impossible, and I only play rapid. To level up you need to be winning 10+ blitz games per day.
Yes, the Leagues competition ended in February 2022. There were some nice prizes.
They left the structure in place. There are no more prizes.
