Do you have a quote of him saying otherwise? Here is an example of what I have seen:

"... for those that want to be as good as they can be, they'll have to work hard.
Play opponents who are better than you … . Learn basic endgames. Create a simple opening repertoire (understanding the moves are far more important than memorizing them). Study tactics. And pick up tons of patterns. That’s the drumbeat of success. ..." - IM Jeremy Silman (December 27, 2018)

You can do a search for "errata list"

""...I strongly reccomend that you put aside all other endgame books and trust your endgame study to Silman's Complete Endgame Course. ""...grasp of endgame theory."" Silman's Complete Endgame Course.

He basically says in that excerpt from the introduction, that until you have a master's grasp of the endgame, his book is the only one that will help you! Most of us chess nuts will never reach that level. His book is excellent, but you will need others to get you to a master-level of endgame skill.

In Reassess Your Chess, the only two books he recomends for the middlegame are RYC, and the Amateur's Mind! No two books will teach you everything you need to know about the middlegame. Ten probably couldn't!

No it doesn’t. I do not see any claim to identify all books that will help the reader. He does think that his book is the best way for the reader to seek endgame help, but that is not a claim that it is the only possibility. His list is for books to follow-up on his. He is advising readers to not attempt them before learning the material he teaches.

Silman is not the only one to suggest that only a limited endgame knowledge is necessary to get to master level. As far as I know, there is no general agreement on this. In any event, it should be noted that you have not produced a Silman quote claiming that nonSilman books are not required “to get good at chess”. Your quote is only about endgame knowledge.

Do you have a quote of Silman claiming that he is identifying all books necessary “to get good at chess”?

I find an error in Silman's endgame book, at page 153 in the solution of exercise 9

6r1/3k4/8/3KP3/8/8/R7/8 b - - 0 1

In this position Silman recommends ...Rg6 witch is a loosing move.

In general I like Silman's books. I would be nice to have a list of find errors in the book.
