ARE YOU A BISHOP PERSON OR A KNIGHT PERSON?!?!?!

I like Checkers

I value Knights a little more than bishops. I have the same reason as 1400136896 does.

Besides pawns, what would you be then?

NovaldyFelix
Knight. Reasons due to preference is because they are the only piece in the board that can dance and play around. Gameplay wise, bishop could turn useless often times (be it blocked by pawn or not having any piece to attack or defend because of the colour) while knight could always find a way. Sure the bishop can pin pieces, but i find forking to be more useful. + the fact that knights could sneak around more and sometimes eats queen for food (since queen doesn’t move like knights).

Because I like knights a lot, I play the Grand Prix against the Sicilian and the Scotch against ...e5

Los_Tenyos_Krowo, that’s a good one. You prefer the piece that is actually doing something. However, which piece is easier to develop? Which piece is easier to activate? That could be your preferred one.

zzzzzzzz

Dsmith, that’s an awesome response. Have one of each. Maybe I should remember that and apply it more often in my own games! However, it all depends on the position, and you did say that your knight play was stronger; so I guess it depends. Nonetheless, thanks for your input...could you show some of your “thousands of games” where you successfully wielded a bishop and a knight to victory I.e. over a stronger opponent? That would be awesome.
asoka250

Knight is the king.

cyboo
Ha Ha, NovaldyFelix! Hungry knights! Thought they just ate fancy food in castles and had mock jousting tournaments! Just kidding...🤪
cyboo
asoka250, you are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo right! But could you add reasons? That would be nice.

Is that some sort of fetish? Are you a pawn fetishist? Kind of like a feet fetish?

Well let me tell you my friend, in a world of jiggly arses and bouncy mammary glands, only the blind chooses the neck! Or was it the Rook?

Knights tend to be better in many of my games because of their closed or semi-closed nature. But I find Bishops easier to use. The # of confusing ways knights can be used in checkmates is just dizzying.

Oi mate you should probably know what type of person I am

pdve

The power of a centralized knight.

Oi mate that's me

It depends; in the middle game: Bishops; in the endgame with one 3-pt minor piece each, I like the Knight.  Facing one can be a real pain in the neck in endgames.

amiakr8

One more thing; closed position; definitely Knight.

Bishop pair > Knight pair

Well put.

I agree. But knights are tricky and confusing, so I prefer them a bit more in average. On nearly every other variant, bishop is better. In Infinite or four player, bishop is much better.
