Are you supposed to accept a rematch offer on live chess?

It's the internet, this is a forum, all I'm saying is "chill out dude".

How do you really say, ‘Chill out, dude’ with ‘Jesus would create a radioactive chess set and force everyone to play it in hell with Satan’? You're really just sounding ridiculous, and only making a fool of yourself.

Seriously, I'm absolutely OK: if we're talking about offences to Christ, I have heard many more even worse; besides, I really do not care, because God will judge everyone.

You just might save yourself a lot of foolish exposure if you said more meaningful things; that's all.

Dude, give me a fricking break!  I was just messing around.  I'm a Christian, but I don't go on these forums(or any forums) to promote the greatness of Christ(and he's probably glad I don't).  I'm just here to relax and have a little fun, and Jesus would want us to have fun, you do remember his first miracle, he gave a bunch of wasted dudes some really good wine, then he laughed at them, becuase they were too drunk to enjoy it.  CHILLAXXX thine sins art forgiven!

In all fairness to istorical Jesus, he never said anything about bishops, or popes, or cathedrals. Power hungry people added all that crap much later. e said "love thy neighbor as yourself," which makes a lot of sense

Indeed, that is a lovely quote he said, and everything in the world would be much better if people followed it, instead of perverting his messages, as I have seen many people do.

However, honestly — no offence — but I prefer to hear Jesus' quotes with better grammar: it is either ‘Love thy neighbour as thyself’ or ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’; please do not mix up both. :)

Trust me.. he's right. Jesus was was a very good grammatician and would never have mixed the two. But the enormity of that faut pas only really stands out when you mix it up while speaking Hebrew :oP

You are NEVER under any obligation to accept a rematch. If the player decides to act like a spoiled little brat, that's HIS/HER issue, not yours.

There are a lot of immature people online. Just ignore/block them if they give you crap for not accepting a rematch.

it is polite to acknowledge the rematch offer, perhaps explaining why you do not want another game.

IMO

I do not get it.  The picture confuses me.

Explain?

You can simply ask:

Do you resign?,

Jesus preached mostly in Aramaic, I believe, and my Aramaic is a little rusty

Your Aramaic is a little rusty? Do you mean you've tried to learn Aramaic? :)

Anyway, if you're trying to interpret Jesus' words, you should focus on learning Greek, because that's the language in which we have written records of his speeches.

My Greek goes as far as memorising the alphabet, and little more than that. Honestly, perhaps I use more Greek in Physics and Mathematics (we often use Greek letters for certain things) than in analysing biblical texts! :)

why would someone want to play someone that played on after blundering a bishop and a rook on move 3, 5 secounds into the game

When I have played live i have always offered a re match

When I win in bullet, I will accept a rematch from my opponent.  Although I'm not obligated to accept, I think it's cowardly and dishonorable to refuse.

I only play live on the head. I'd need to be fairly well plugged to have time for a rematch.

As earlier suggested there should be a special group for people who are offended by not getting rematches. I suggest it be called "The Play Pen". The homepage would consist of nice bright red, yellow and blue bright colours. Further, I would suggest an upper age limit of three and a half...

To those who would run away from a rematch challenge in bullet after winning: explain why you wouldn't accept the remtach (besides needing to take care of non-chess business).

sore losers with huge egos demand a rematch until they get lucky enough to win on time

Avatar of kingslayer619

2travel, you didn't answer my question.  And your comments don't address me.  I'm not a sore loser since I don't complain or blame my opponent when I lose.  Nor do I have a huge ego, since I realize that there are thousands of chess players who can crush me in bullet with minimal effort.  And I don't demand rematches, since I don't think the winner is obligated to rematch.  I still wait for an answer to my question...
