Seems like the guy just couldn't handle a grown-up conversation.

Carrying a theme is what they call it in the adult world.
And the whole being judged thing was really fun! I wish we could do this again, but of course now I know you were faking so it wouldn't work.
'know it alls...' is hyphernated, thus 'know-it-alls'. In addition to us the plural 'alls' is ugly - better would have been to observe., "a know-it-all lacks humility."
