he didn’t answer mine either, saying there is a ton of comments. there are not so many questions, so he has lost all credibility for me.

Have you considered the possibility that he is an international master and probably very busy(I think they usually are, though I might be wrong) and so doesn't get enough time to devote to a thread he created to help other players like five MONTHS ago. Look he's just human (as far as I am aware) he probably missed the question.

didn’t bother.

anyway, i can sort it out myself.

starts an AMA thread, too busy to answer, lol.

Maybe he'd have done better not to invite questions related to what kind of sausages he prefers, if he's that busy?

Playing blitz is the best way to improve. Learn new openings, then practice them in blitz games

You say playing blitz is the best way to improve, but I've never seen anyone progress by strictly playing this time control. There are many accounts I see that have stagnated from 2100-2300 for years, playing multiple games a day but making no progress? And wouldn't playing lots blitz just train one to play impulsively, only having a negative effect on how they play classical chess?

What do I need to do to become a master, (ie. 2400+ rapid)? I'm already focused on a few aspects of my game, but I am nonetheless curious to see how you might answer this question. If possible, go over a few of my games (not just the recent ones).

I played a lot of blitz to improve but you have to be good enough to be able to work out a reasonably well-played game in 5 minutes and at least to remember the important bits.

it was surprising how many old hands at tournaments told me that it would have a bad effect on my tournament play. But being able to blitz accurately was an important part of my game. I didn't mind going right down on time. I had been known to turn down draw offers when I had 3 mins on my clock and my opponent had 20 minutes in a highly complex ending, if I could see the winning procedure even though the win was 30 moves away and involved play on both sides of the board.

You have to have a key which programs your mind to play correctly at classical speeds. My key was writing down the moves, which I didn't do in rapid tournaments for that specific reason. It's also handy to have the ability to be able to change gear whilst playing classical and to regulate that accurately. At some point it may be necessary to move to rapid speeds, then to slow blitz speeds and finally in extremis to bullet.

For any master grade you have to participate in rated FIDE tournaments over the board.

Playing online has its perks. Master titles are not among them.

Yes, I have played a lot of variants... I have tried all of them.

I am quite proficient in 3 check, KOTH

Atomic and Giveaway are tricky for me

Depends on how much I play

The more I play, the more likely it is for me to get a brilliant
Normally, 1-2 brilliant a day I guess

Rapid online is very boring. I've stopped chess tbh
