At the top level, why they don't like taking risk?

Draw, draw, draw another boring, prearranged draw or not, boring...

Look back at Bobby Fischer. , no draws , play for the win no matter what ! Black peaces, white peaces doesn't matter.

I think if one takes this elo thing too serious, it takes away some focus and enthusiasm. I once ate in a thai restaurant in upper austria and the owner has a chess kid (quite good she said). She complained about him not wanting to train or something (not sure). If you take a thing to serious in the beginning and dont expect the plateau, then you might have tricked yourself into believing that you can reach a "top". Have a great day

I do not buy into the opening statement.  "They" seems to assume that all GMs are alike.  They aren't.  Some are unadventurous. Some take crazy risks.

If you are referring to the recent World Championship, the games were of a high standard and in many games one side or the other was generally trying hard to win, with the other desperately hanging on.

Bla bla bla ....

Bobby Fischer no excuses wins with black peaces, crushing GMs 6-0 while other GMs getting prearranged draws and normal draws

In a nutshell: because when they take risks they lose.

Um... I'm not sure that's the best characterization of Bobby Fischer.

Why do football teams today not play with 5 forwards and 2-3 defenders like they did in the old days?
