I will say C since that is the actual rule in chess.

It should never be automatic, now, having the function that players can set it so that for them and only them it's an automatic draw is a completely different story.

Our votes won't make an impact. If Chess.com made threefold repetition an automatic draw, the rule would be inconsistent with the federations' official rules of Chess, which would be a step in the wrong direction. Threefold repetition must be claimed, because that is the way repetition has always worked.

You might as well vote if pawns should be able to move backwards.
