The strongest 10 year old I played over the board was David Lacan Rus. He’s now 11 and 2000+ FIDE. But I still managed to win :)

I'm 12 and I am from Sri Lanka. Is it good I have 400 Elo for rapid

TheUltraTrap

400 elo is never good...

TheUltraTrap

im only 1500ish FIDE and 12, portugal has super deflated ratings though, most say we could get 300 more elo just by moving slightly North or East tongue.png

real life ratings vary from country to country so I think chess.com ratings are actually better in this case

NumerousBadgers

If a 12 year old has been playing chess for a few years already, they should be at least 1400 rated (just my opinion). If they just learned the game then I can understand being 1200 or lower.

TheUltraTrap

I played for only 2.5 years and am 2000+

TheUltraTrap

and feel like that's bad

FlamingKatana

Ya I have been playing for 2 years and I am 1100. I am just playing with a bunch of sandbaggers, so my rating is 900.
