Batman by far. Superman doesn't come across all that smart to me.
Batman vs. Superman
Superman. He has genius level IQ, whereas Batman does not. All things equal, Superman would probably win. BUT, IQ has nothing to do with how good you are at chess. It also depends on how long they have each played the game for and how strong they are prior to versing in each other. But if it's their first time + they know the rules of the game, and everything else were equal, Superman would win.

I don't get it. Your argument is that Superman would win because he has a higher IQ, but then by your own admission IQ has nothing to do with how good you are at chess? If that were the case, Superman would have no advantage. In any case, you're mistaken. Batman does have a genius level IQ, and he's in fact known for strategy and planning. In the comics he actually beat Superman multiple times due to his planning. If he can win in a fight, I think he can take Superman on in chess.

If only he could have been raised on Krypton, they were resolving equations at age 3 there.
Superman can put a matrix in reduced row echelon form faster than a speeding TI-83.

And Batman's probably cheating with that underwear on his head with twin antennae.
just you wait.....Teich might have something to contribute pretty soon.....he might have a theory on Indian-man and Batman and crack
Batman might be good at chess, but he would resign at the slight mention of "Martha".
"WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME!!!????"
definately xavier. wasnt he able to read minds? anyhoo, as far as this thread goes, batman seems to have a better brain for chess.
Yeah, but imagine how it goes in our minds a lot of the time
"Oh damn, my move was terrible, Bg3 and I'm totally screwed"
then they play Bg3
"Wait, I can capture with check! I totally missed it was with check. Now I'm winning woohoo!"
---
Or more common:
"I'll sac my rook, then I play this move and I don't see any defense for mate, I think that's it, I have mate in 2"
Xavier resigns
"Oh wait, my bishop was pinned to my king, how could I miss that?! It's not mate, I'm just down a rook for nothing"
I just saw the movie Batman vs. Suoerman and I was wondering who would be the better CHESS player and way?
Any comments?
