I was wondering if anyone knew some good chess books for my rating? I mainly struggle with ideas and strategy.

How about some Jeremy Silman books? I don't have any, but I hear he has some great strategy books.

Also, there is a helpful strategy lesson pack on chess.com s old lessons with 300 exercises to help you learn more. I did it, and it helped me out.

Maybe those aren't, "beginner", but they are understandable for you.

Logical chess move by move by Chernev is the best for lowish ratings I think. Some people say the games are really old fashioned etc but the ideas are still very useful.
