Beginner Question Regarding Chess Rating

when you first make an account you can gain/lose a lot of rating at first. but yes once you start playing a lot you will be gaining/losing 8 points each game. so you will have to play a lot if you want to gain 100s of points.
And I'm sub 600 but won 49% w lost 45% . Very similar. My question is does Chess.com rate my games and sees me as a beginner. Like if you started a fresh account. Would it shoot you up to 2000+ bc your skill level or is it really a grind game

no if you restarted at 2000, you would likely lose all of your games and end up at the same elo because there is a skill difference between each elo; your winrate does not indicate skill level.
@its_lexii has a very similar winrate and is 1600. however when I play against her I have a record of 80.5-1.5 against her.
So. Is there any difference between FIDE and chess.com. I guess I was confused bc many sources state a 600 is a true beginner but as a 600 now I would crush true beginners or even myself 4 months ago. Some sites state you get a beginning rating of 1000 which is the part that's throwing me. I have to get a lot better to reach 1000 on chess.com

FIDE rating isn't quite equivalent to chess.com elo. I've heard that someone 2000+ elo here might have a FIDE rating of 1500-1750 OTB (over the board). Different sites start you off differently. I created a new account on lichess and it started me at 1500. But that doesn't mean that's a beginner rating. The first dozen or so games, you lose/gain huge amounts of points per game until the system figures out your actual rating - similar to chess.com
Also, a true beginner on this site will have a rating much lower than 600. I've never been that low myself. But I've seen enough GMs do ratings climbs videos to know that plenty of people are under 500.
