If you want to improve your opening play, the computer will definitely reveal holes that you should analyze and understand. it will overwhelm you in the middle game since it doesn't make mistakes unless you play it at such a low level that it purposely makes ridiculous blunders. End game practice would be interesting. It is not fun, but it is revealing.
