Bisguier

I've heard of Bisguier, but hadn't seen his photo before. He reminds me of the actor/producer/writer Ben Affleck.

In Mr. Fischer’s book “My 60 Memorable Games” (1969), the grandmaster and journalist Larry Evans wrote in an introduction to a chapter, “Bisguier is the one grandmaster who consistently obtains decent positions against Fischer, only to throw them away for no apparent reason.”

Arthur Bisguier won the U.S. Open in 1959. Also in 1959 he married Carol D. Collins, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the NYU Law School as well as a future real estate attorney.
