Bishop or Knight having more power

I know that Queens and Rooks are huge mating keys, but how to you attack them?? I think that in most attacks Knights are the most powerful. Knights are THE ONLY PIECES that can attack a Queen without being attacked by her.

completely depends on the position.  There are cases where a knight dominates a bishop and cases where the bishop dominates the knight. It is all a result of the present position.

It's true that when a bishop or rook threatens a queen, the queen is also threatening the bishop or rook. But the side with the queen stands to lose much more from the trade, so as long as the bishop or rook is protected this isn't such a big concern.

I think you have the right idea, though. At your level a knight is much more dangerous than the bishop and learning its moves will improve your game. Smile

I believe that Knight is more vital in a closed game, while Bishop can utilize its power more in an open game.

What I have always heard is that the Knight is worth 3 1/4th points while the Bishop is worth 3 3/4th points. As well as the knight being stonger in the early stages of the game because of it being extremely effective in tight situations. The Bishop does amazing in later stages because in can cover more squares on the opened up board.

If you want a general rule of thumb when deciding whether to keep a bishop or trade him for a knight try to establish a "good" bishop and a "bad" bishop. You can do this by placing your pawn structure on either black or white squares. Then your "bad" bishop is the bishop that is of that colour--that is the same colour that your pawn structure is on--and your "good" bishop is the bishop of opposite colour. In general, it is always good to trade your "bad" bishop for your opponent's "good" bishop or one of his knights. So to give a specific example:

It's hard for me to understands the quarters... if it will be 3 Vs 3.1 the diffrence will be almost the same, so why to deal with 2 different frections?

Iv'e heard two things:
1. The bishop and the knight both equal 3 pawns, thire unique abilitys may make one preberable, but baiscly they are the same...
2.The bishop is 3.25  and the knight is 3.

personaly i agree with the second, because two picese, with so different abillitys almost can't be valuable the same.
but as i mentiond before, the frection is only here to show a little change, and little changes allways metter the situation.
Baiscly: close center - knights
open center - bishops

But there are a lot of exeptions and you need to keep watching...

Rules.  Knights ARE better in (most) closed positions.  Bishops ARE better than knights in (most)endgames with pawns on opposite sides.
