Blind Chess
I was wondering this myself. Some people seem to believe it will help their normal chess ability, while others say that playing blind chess will only make you a better blind chess player, and have no effect on your normal game.
I've not tried it myself yet, but am looking forward to giving it a go someday.
Chess without a board I used to play when drunk. There are, however, Blind players world championships - some real skill there.
I can't do it. I remember trying to play blind in Chessmaster. I would get shredded by personalities with ratings of like 500. Some people can play it, however, and to a very high standard. The Amber tournament just finished, and half the games there were blindfold, and although there were some blunders, the games were still high quality.
Has anybody ever played blind chess against anybody else, and if so what do you think of it?
