blitz/bullet rating is the only thing that matters in internet chess

hey, hold your horses. stop making false accusations when you don't know any damn thing about it. I already mentioned that, I play chess in my laptop. it almost takes me 4-6 seconds to drag the pieces in the touch pad and click it. and, I'm just a 15 year old beginner at chess so, I don't care much about my ratings. then, who are you ? a 40 year old geezer , that's not a high rating for your age. don't take it too seriously, just joking. and, please don't make false accusations that I'm using any chess program without any proof (or) evidence. I myself play better at a decent amount of time. I don't notice all the pieces when playing at bullet, that's one of the reason, I suck at bullet.

even , you could use a chess engine to cheat so, I'm not buying your ratings. you could have cheated as any normal cheaters in the worlds, accusing others just makes you more suspicious in my perspective. so, shut your damn mouth and stop critcizing others without further evidence. and, you definetly have some problems with courtesy. I hope you can speak to the forum in a better manner in the future.

3) "just" 2000 after 180 games? That's actually not a bad rating. In the top 5% on the site.

When I first joined the site, (six years ago on another account), I was 1300.

Now at 2100-2200 in bullet.

There's always room for improvement.

Before poking fun at others' chess abilities, please play a few grandmasters to gain some humility. I hear Hikaru Nakamura has a bullet chess rating of *3101*.

Yes, you're a good chess player. Doesn't mean you have to brag about it.

I played Canadian in bullet chess a few days ago. He's a pretty good player, we ended up winning 10 each. Didn't seem like a cheater, he sometimes gives pieces away. (as do I!)

It would be strange, but not more than that :) Like I said, there are many variables that go into a good blitz game, chess understanding obviously being one of them, but among many others.

No one mentions that bullet can be 1/0, 2/0, 1/1, 1/2, 2/1....etc. BIG difference in all. Many like to play 1/0 because they can still get away by winning on time even if their opponent has 2 queens.....I've seen 2100+ bullet ( of the 1/0 type) lose to people 700-800 points below them. Happens quite frequently....

        Some people simply don't play blitz or bullet, so their ratings stay very low, but do play correspondence. I play mostly correspondence.

I think , I  exagerrated there a little bit. I normally play bullet to figure out how much tactics I can make in a shorter period of time. I don't play bullet to win, it just makes me feel irritated when guys like him judge a person's Intelligence using their chess rating. this proves that he himself is stupid.

Ssakash was totally correct. That so-called expert exaggerated his so-called expert opinion.

You don't know as much as you think. FYI, I've both played, and beaten many real live grandmasters, in both live speed chess, as well as online. Like i said...you lack the character and heart for anything other than bullet chess. That's why bullet chess is the only thing you play. And you're not that good at it. The only reason you tied me in games is because I'm new here and not used to the interface. I was only playing here a day or two when we played. I estimate i'm probably work close to 100 elo more than you in bullet, and 500 elo more than you in slow OTB. I quickly took your rating points and brought you down to reality despite being uncomfortable and unfamiliar with this interface.

1) Absolutely, intelligence does play a role. But it's not the biggest role- players can become masters even with a low IQ. high-IQ people who don't study wouldn't get to that level.

2) Interesting that you should say that. First, not "almost as good". "As good". We won ten each; there's no way to say who is stronger out of that. But enough nitpicking on semantics.

And I have played OTB, and had had some decent results. Beaten a few masters.

Okay, you claim you're 500 points stronger than me OTB. My FIDE rating is 2017, your CFC rating is 2080ish?

Let me know when you're a grandmaster, then your assertion might be correct.
