This would be more than just strange. I mean of course time is a factor in blitz chess but you need to play strong moves to win a game anyway. Its not that you dont need any understanding of chess and its just tactics that make you win a game. At least not at higher levels.

what exactly are you smoking, all you have to do is play in enough FIDE tournaments to get a FIDE rating?

most of them are against friends that i don't really want to play a long game against them since they take too long to make bad moves anyways.

The truth is. I find that my play is better when I am using a board. When online you tend to miss out on somethings. However, ona board I have complete comfidence.

don't just criticize anyone because, they're bad at bullet. bullet just takes place for 1 minute, it's not a reasonable game of chess. most of the persons just make a move fast and save time. I personally am using a laptop and it's hard to move the pieces at bullet. so, don't go juding and critcizing others without getting your facts straight. bullet is just a dirty play, I find blitz reasonablr though.

Bad at bullet??? One is rated 2000 (!) and the other big mouth is rated 2100 and they are accusing each other of not being able to play chess. It is just hilarious to watch the 2 monkeys brag over who has the biggest c**ck.

hey, hold your horses. stop making false accusations when you don't know any damn thing about it. I already mentioned that, I play chess in my laptop. it almost takes me 4-6 seconds to drag the pieces in the touch pad and click it. and, I'm just a 15 year old beginner at chess so, I don't care much about my ratings. then, who are you ? a 40 year old geezer , that's not a high rating for your age. don't take it too seriously, just joking. and, please don't make false accusations that I'm using any chess program without any proof (or) evidence. I myself play better at a decent amount of time. I don't notice all the pieces when playing at bullet, that's one of the reason, I suck at bullet.

even , you could use a chess engine to cheat so, I'm not buying your ratings. you could have cheated as any normal cheaters in the worlds, accusing others just makes you more suspicious in my perspective. so, shut your damn mouth and stop critcizing others without further evidence. and, you definetly have some problems with courtesy. When I first joined the site, (six years ago on another account), I was 1300.

Now at 2100-2200 in bullet.

There's always room for improvement.

Before poking fun at others' chess abilities, please play a few grandmasters to gain some humility. I hear Hikaru Nakamura has a bullet chess rating of *3101*.

I played Canadian in bullet chess a few days ago. He's a pretty good player, we ended up winning 10 each. Didn't seem like a cheater, he sometimes gives pieces away. (as do I!)

It would be strange, but not more than that :) Like I said, there are many variables that go into a good blitz game, chess understanding obviously being one of them, but among many others.

No one mentions that bullet can be 1/0, 2/0, 1/1, 1/2, 2/1....etc. BIG difference in all. Many like to play 1/0 because they can still get away by winning on time even if their opponent has 2 queens.....I've seen 2100+ bullet ( of the 1/0 type) lose to people 700-800 points below them. Happens quite frequently....

        Some people simply don't play blitz or bullet, so their ratings stay very low, but do play correspondence. I play mostly correspondence.
