Nothing wrong with having an opinion.

And this is why we have people wearing tin foil.

Russia cheated against Bobby but he won !

Fischer was a great chess player.

If I want to be controlled I'll watch the news. Which I don't watch. As for Columbia being a patzer? He may very well have been. But he was a heck of a lieutenant!

I wonder what would have happened if Karpov and Fischer had their match for the World Chess Championship.

It would have been a very interesting match, probably way more interesting than Fischer - Spassky. Too bad it did not happen.

Luckily we had 5 matches of Karpov vs Kasparov to compensate for it.

IMO Karpov would have won. I believe Fischer achieved his life's goal by defeating the Russian chess machine. That is what broke him. Imagine waking up the next day, being 32 and you accomplished your life goal. What else do you do? He had no purpose left.

Karpov stated afterwards that he expected to lose the first match (in 1975) but win the second (in 1978).

The phrase I used to use is "deserted by his enemies".

Lasker was world champion for 27 years!

Strong opinion, zero facts. Love it

blueemu's pic is hilarious. To craft a tin foil cap for your 😺 seems really too funny. The cat looks chill. The guy looks like he needs to take a cue from the 😺.

Fun fact: opinions don't require facts to exist.

Kasparov played 8 WC matches in 16 years, Lasker played 7 matches in 27 years.
