The ability to create is called 'Creativity'. Do you think IQ has anything to do with creativity? If your answer is yes then think again! Recent studies show that IQ and creativity are two different dimensions and that they are not directly linked to each other. A high IQ does not mark a high in creativity. If a person is blessed with a high IQ level, it does not mean he will be also having a creative brain.

There is no relationship between measured intelligence and creative accomplishment....

People who achieve high accomplishments in the field of art, science and technology are traditionally termed as creative. This is just a notion.

Like I've been trying to tell all you deniers all along. Do your research before you come on this thread and assume that because BF had a high IQ automatically made him creative. Probably quite the contrary and definitely no relationship....I repeat....No Relationship !

   Lala, you are creating a strawman. I don't recall in the 9,000 postings on this dumb thread that anyone made a big deal out of Bobby's IQ.

   Now perhaps one or a few posters threw into the mix something like a 180 IQ. Bobby himself claimed that he was an all-around genius who just happened to put all his energies into one basket.

   Most of us who have been playing chess for a long time fully know that IQ and chess don't correlate. There are plenty of intelligent people (I could name quite a few from this site) who just absolutely suck at chess...and always will.)

   So stop making a bullcrap, strawman argument. Now, dammit!

   As far as Bobby...he was a high school dropout. That doesn't mean that he was stupid, but it does mean he was uneducated. Now, his having a 180 IQ?..or Garry (as people are wont to say)...is absurd.    btw...percentile, is the proper way to measure IQ. Mensa requires a 2-percentile IQ. That means that if 100 people take an IQ test (and not just "any old IQ test"), only the top 2% would qualify. I would bet you a big, fat juicy whopper double cheese burger that neither Bobby or Garry could have gotten into Mensa.
