Who do you think is better?

Magnus because he as combination of chess. He has kept winning championships.
Also Bobby Fisher had a huge impact on chess.

I would love it if we can resurrect all of the Grand Masters of chess so that they can play against each other...

O-O

Fischer*/ Magnus, just due to the fact that chess has evolved since the creation of strong chess engines.

eathealthyfoods

Yeah... Chess Engines revolutionize the game themselves...

I wonder what you wanted to say here....

magnus carlson is best

MohammedEl-kamelym

Garry Kasparov is best chess player in the world

Antonin1957

Fischer. But it's impossible, really, to realistically compare players from different eras. One thing in Fischer's favor, in spite of his severe flaws as a human being, is that he relied on his brain, not computer software, to become the best in the world. He worked essentially alone, unlike the Soviet state supported chess machine he ultimately conquered. I remember Fischer well, and you would not believe how his achievements thrilled young chess nerds like me.

Mittenz69

Fischer. He didn't have the advantage of computers, as Antonin already mentioned. I think there may be even more pressure on him since it's around the cold war era and chess is much more high stakes for political prestige.

magnus and it's not even close lol. he's the best player this game has ever seen in history. he's dominating during the most competitive era chess has ever been with peak amount of players and engines completely evolving the game. It's like asking who's better MJ or Lebron. Lebron is as dominant in an age of basketball that is a lot higher than during the MJ era.

That's all your opinion. And I don't share it, quite the opposite.

Today's era is probably the least competitive ever. 55 year old Anand, who is decades after his peak, is still in the top 10. Completely ridiculous.

1970's Fischer today would annihilate everyone. Including Carlsen.

I think magnus because he has the highest blitz

It depends...

If we are talkimg about the greatest chess play of all time, then the reward goes to Bobby Fisher, but at the same time, if the arguement does to the current best grandmaster, then it is Magnus Carlson...

There are no grandmasters called "Bobby Fisher" or "Magnus Carlson".

Bobby fisher is still the most creative player that has lived. There’s no question that Magnus is probably the best chess player ever next to Kasparov. With that said Bobby Fisher changed the game. No one saw the board like him. He sacrificed pieces to gain advantages. He saw things most couldn’t see. In my mind he influenced the game like no other.

Lol I wouldn't want Magnus and Fischer to play...it would be kinda unfair 😕
