You are misrepresenting Yasser Seiriwan's views. I've listened to enough of his chess broadcasts to know that he remains enthusiastic about the game. He created a chess variant--and a challenging one--out of interest, not disinterest.
How can you play chess for four decades and still reason no better than a twelve year old child?

Everything, including sex, is boring. Especially sex, especially for women.
Aldous Huxley says that an intellectual is a person who has found something more interesting than sex.
Sherlock Holmes relied on cocaine to make things interesting.
Great minds are always bored. Their brilliance is manifested in creative solutions to unbearable ennui.
Idiots are always fascinated with everthing. Give an idiot a brick, an iPhone, a TV, a prostitute, an internet forum—their pursuit for pleasure is over.
I am reminded of Lermontov's "A Hero of Our Time". The superflous man is perpetually bored with the world, and yet boredom is his engine.
You are all Pechorin. You play chess only to conquer your foe, have sex only to conquer the woman. You all are selfish and hedonistic. You all need Jesus. Even with Him, you are all too ugly with sin for me to look upon.
I leave in disgust.
How boring... Goodbye!
