I cannot believe this hasn’t been mentioned, considered and even discussed before. Why not a Bot Chess Challenge ranking in the same manner as Daily Chess or even competition chess? Are there obstacles to this as a meaningful statistic if not just for fun and practice. Maybe not in traditional universal competitive ranking, but it should work out very close. Maybe a study to see is needed. If a computer can be “tuned” to have “Adaptive” capabilities you must be able to fine tune a programmed Bot to have human variability in their performance, maybe that is already done. Always been curious.

The bots are based on the Komodo Chess engine, with various settings changes and personal opening books. As far as I'm aware, the engine code itself isn't being modified for any specific bots
