Look on the bright side, you can't get your chess set pregnant and have to get married, be nice to the in-laws, get a mortgage, cope with ungrateful screaming kids. Chess saved your life. You can always get a bird whenever you want, pay for it, and no deals about having to buy a new washing machine...., a lot cheaper than the other prison sentence.
