I predominantly play the Colle-Zukertort opening, which is relatively passive, and leads to closed positions, so winning on time is my bread and butter. My rating fluctuates wildly (mostly due to me being unable to resist playing on my phone, which usually results in a 50 point rating drop per session (limited pre-move etc).
Lately I've started being more aggressive in the centre, and my percentage of winning by checkmate is going up.
I would love to see a stat for winning/losing by checkmate, and winning/losing on time for bullet. It would say a lot about player styles.
I sometimes come across players who win on time against me no matter how fast I pre-move. Others seem to lose time and I easily win with 30 seconds remaining.
Do often have checkmates in bullet chess? :) i do not
