I agree. I can't even maintain a bullet rating of 1300 here because at that level the opponents just throw away their pieces from the starting position to gain 5 or 7 seconds and win on time. Atleast in blitz my opponent's and I have plans and think for upto 20 seconds to find some good tactics but in bullet it seems like a contest for who can throw away pieces and gain more time quickly.

I've never played bullet and I don't ever intend on it. It accomplishes nothing in terms of improvement, if anything it probably reduces your skill overall and unless you're really good at chess it's just mindless woodpushing. A lot of people like to play it though so I guess to each their own.

Though bullet is not relying on chess understanding, it does improve pattern recognition and gives a feekl of the opening.

I have dry eyes. I play bullet chess because it makes me cry and that's cheaper than preservative-free eyedrops.
