can chess be sexy?

Recently I only seem to be playing with a hangover. Strangely this has caused me to more creative, if a little slower....
Lately i have met some opponents who acquired rating 1600 or so in 4 matches or have make a step from 1340 to 1590 after 1 match. How is this possible? After any game i have just won, my rating only get higher by a couple of points. Are these player hackers? family of the founder? There is nothing sexy about chess, only is you think controll/power and sex are about the same thing
I don't think the game of chess its self is sexy, but what surrounds playing chess can be very sexy. The players, the place, the atmosphere. The chat, I don't mean someone being blatenly obvious but. I use to play chess with someone on this site, without a thought of you know what going through my mind, but then after he posted his new photos, well, he made my heart skip a beat every time I played him. Now its very rare I play him because his looks distract me so much. He make the game sexy. (If you can't imagine or see what I mean think of the most famous chess scene, with the song, 'Windmill's of of your mind' playing in the backround. Can't think of the name of the film sorry).
The Evil one is living proof.
Especially when I wear my Chess.com teeshirt :-)

Of course chess is sexy! The rush of adrenalin you get as you are about to win a game is very sexy :-) Have you ever noticed how players speed up their moves as they are closing in on their prey!? It's fantastic! X

Im glad we have some people thinking chess is sexy and i agree it is a nice checkmate or sacrifice always looks good. A long drawn out battle can also be very satisfying if u win.

I have heard many an argument about how Mathematics can be sexy (in real life - not in Good Will Hunting) and the gist of it was built around having an understanding for Math.
I would imagine that it would be the case in chess.
