I want that too, maybe if you spend some time on chess.com and you are active on the forums the guys on chess.com send you a message saying if you want to be a mod.

In my experience, asking for mod will halt any further chances, plus it is a bit rude. . . I recommend just being a good helpful chess.com citizen.

You haven't been a member long enough.

The basic requirements are; 18 year of age or older 1 year active member in good standing 

By good standing, do you mean a clear record? or a high rating? Or something else?

I'm pretty sure they mean no problems with your account or problems with posting, games, etc.

That's not how it works, little troll.

If you find the mod club, you will see an application in the club description . 

I was going to post a link to the club here, but I think its a good test of how well you know the site to make you go find it yourself

Can't speak for decision making processes when it comes to potential of becoming a mod but if games are played fairly, one shoudn't have anything to worry about.
