1. Overconfidence

2. Less knowledge of a particular opening compared to your opponent

3. The 2500 and 1800 players were going easy on u

4. The 1000 rated player was underrated

5. The opening played was your opponents specialty

6. Time Troubles

Is there any way you can send the games?

I can't know for sure how to explain it unless I see the games.

Also, what were the circumstances? Did you play those three games back to back to back? Were you at one point in an environment where you could concentrate and then you couldn't?

Also, was the 2500 overrated or sandbagging?

Was the 1000 rated player using a computer for assistance?

Also, what was going on with you psychologically? Chess often is a psychological challenge too. I have found that if I concentrate well, I play well. If I don't concentrate or get distracted, then I play terrible. Sorry if I am making this more complicated, but I don't know how to answer the question unless I better understand the circumstances and look at the games.

Thank you and Peace,

Br. Austin

I see that ayanchessabc provided some explanations, and those are possible too.

I just looked at the 2500 he closed his account.

He closed his account? He must be shy and maybe you have been playing to a hacker whose rating will be more but shown less.

Ratings don't always indicate actually skill. There are many other factors that play in. One off performances, a surprise opening that could have caught a 2500 off-guard, and a very good day for the 1000 who had a surprisingly good performance

I don't know, but I for example play better against 1000 rated player than 600 grin there's something about creativity and not knowing all the variants of openings... lower rated players tend to play without theory and sometimes that gives better result.

The 2500 player you beat is probably a cheater who thought he didn’t need to cheat against you and lost. He closed his account.

It's just a matter of bad luck when you played the 1K rated player.
