Can someone help me understand please?

Hi, I have a short video of a game I just played and near the end I could not move my black bishop, only my king. He was NOT in check so I don't get it. I am a beginner but live this app! But if there are cheats that allow him to block me from moving near the end, I will have to quit. :(

My guess is that there was piece that would have checked the king if you moved your bishop, in other words, your bishop was blocking an "enemy" piece from causing check. But, without seeing the game I don't know for sure.
