Can someone tell me how quiet moves work or what it means?

A "quiet move" is a move that is played as part of a winning combination or forced maneuver, but which... taken by itself... is not a capture or a check or a direct threat.
An example from one of my own OTB tournament games might make it clearer... I sacrifice first a Knight and then my Queen, and follow it up with a quiet move: simply pushing a Pawn forward one square, while I'm down a Queen.

Blueemu that's a LOUD move. It means a whole lotta nasty is about to happen.
OP, it's a move that doesn't look vicious, maybe in the middle of a LOT of drama on the board (maybe an attack), that looks like one player is taking a break but if u can't figure out why it's so dangerous, ur about to git got.
