I am super excited for a Sindarov vs Gukesh World Championship! I wasn’t sure if Sindarov would be able to win the Candidates, but I felt that he had a lot of momentum recently, so I am not at all surprised at his stellar performance.

So you probably know the 2026 FIDE Candidates tournament is going on now, and the results so far are pretty interesting and a little off what i'd pictured (not in a bad or good way)
Personally I had thought that fabi and hikaru (especially hikaru) would be higher in the rankings but turns out Sindarov is in 1st!
Thoughts?
