After an Intense training for the Corus tournament at the Es Saadi Garden Hotel in Marrakech (Very nice 5 star hotel!), Carlsen and Kasparov hosted a double simul, Kasparov won 20 out of 20 game in 3 hours 15 minutes while Carlsen got a score of 19.5/20 in 2 hours 45 minutes. (note, almost everyone in the simul was 2000+ FIDE).

Here are some pictures! (Pictures from chessbase.com)

Because of Carlsens intense training, im 100% sure he will win the Corus tournament coming up in a couple days!

I wouldn't bet on it. Anand, and Kramnik are playing. How anyone could be "100% sure" with those guys playing sounds irresponsible to me. Those are two of four guys in the world who are just as good as Carlsen. The two others being Topalov and Aronian, who sadly won't be there.

Carlsen beat Anand in there last 4 of 6 encounters i believe..

and i believe Carlsen will pull more wins then Kramnik.

Irresponsible? lol, every1 has their own oppinions, wether you like it or not you need to shut up.

You're pretty pissed for unknown reasons. It was just my opinion as well. I don't believe I tell people to "shut up".

Add another flammable personality to this thread and there will likely be an explosion. Just calm down, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Yes, they can post there own opinions and flame me, but saying irresponsible? now thats just stupid.

You're giving an impressive example of "stupid", SerbianChessBoy. "Irresponsible" in the context I used it in was not where you burnt down the house through negligence. The word was chosen in support of the strength of Anand, and Kramnik, not as some personal assault on you. You're being rather bizarre about it.

I always thought I was argumentative...

chess.com has taught me that I'm pretty tame!

Wow... imagine having a 2800 rating running around Europe in a suit giving simuls with Kasparov.

lol yeah, i would pay 100 bucks to play one of them..

the difficult question is.. who would i rather play?

Thanks for the heads-up on this event. Would be fun to get the PGN.

I knew they were in Morocco training - and think it's very good that Kasparov is teaching Carlsen the ropes now.

Carlsen's been too indifferent, and I believe that Kasparov will get him to play seriously for every single move. (A kind of silly thing to say about the world #1, but Carlsen's really been a zenith-to-nadir player - his performance in London could have been of historic proportion, but he dropped three points that were his. And there were some awesome blunders - leaving Howell pleased and Short mystified.)

But I don't think that it's a walk-over for Carlsen. There are many excellent chess players in the top-10. Just a pity Aronian isn't at Corus - he crushed Nakamura and is in excellent form now.

It would be good to see Aronian at the Corus, but unfortunatey he did bad last year to not get invited.

It will be an exciting match up with Carlsen Kramnik Anand and somewhat Nakamura in the Corus, With Naka's great result in World Team Championship he might do good in Corus.

If I were betting on who wins first place, I would take the field over Carlsen. I'm not exactly sure who I would put my money on, if I could only choose one. Gotta go old school -- Anand.

Yes,

Older people like you, tend to cheer for the older ppl, like anand

younger ppl, like me, tend to cheer for the younger people like carlsen

But i'd say Carlsen would win but if he doesnt i think he would be 2nd past Anand (I'd say Kramnik is Stronger then Anand at this point looking at Tal Memorial)
