Carlsen simul 2017

With all due respect for the world champion, and his opponents, I watched about 8 games of the simul he gave today, November 9th 2017, in Germany, and I found such games horrible. The opposition was totally worthless.

For example one guy on move 6 played Kd7, even a 1100 rated player in chess.com wouldn't play that.

The only woman in the simul also blundered by move 7

Here she just played 7...cxd4 to which followed 8.Nxc6 bxc6 9.Bxc6 Bd7 and Black has lost the rook A8 (but please watch the rest of the game, because it is totally ridiculous!).

Next position is a game played against a 2000+ rated player. (when was he rated 2000?? 20 years ago?)

null

Black thinks to avoid the checkmate playing 18...f5 Carlsen simply answered 19.Rxe8 Qxe8 20.Qf6 and now the 2000+ rated player cannot even see the checkmate in F8, and plays 20...Qd7 instead of resigning. He got checkmated with 21.Qf8

My question is: what is the reason to organize such simul? I'm also able to beat some 1100 rated players, and I don't need to be a world champion. From a world champion I would expect more respect for the game, and a real simul, against real tournament players.

Isn't this kind of the point of a simul? I've seen plenty of simuls against kids, even, including by Carlsen.

The point of the simul is:

From Carlsen's perspective: to make some cash and to get some publicity.

From the patzer's perspective: to have a chance to play against a world-class player.

Neither of these goals is enhanced by playing against "real" tournament players.
