I know what you are talking about. Lars Scandorf discusses it in his GM repertoire book. I don't remember the exact move order discussed there. but it is in the Advanced Caro variation. I think the general idea when White plays e6 is for Black to play f6 and pick up Whites pawn on e6 later with the queen. if Black takes, fxe6, blacks king side structure is too weak to survive. Particularly if blacks option to castle 0-0-0 has been compromised.

I've been training with the Caro Kann for about 6 months offline and 2 months online. There is a series of moves that opens up Black's kingside when White plays e6. But I cannot remember the move order. I think its through the advance variation. If anyone knows about this particular move order, I politely ask you to post it. I've tried to look it up myself through the data base but I can't recall the move order.
