Challenge: Little Chess Partner Easy Setting

What are the fewest moves you've taken to beat LCP on the easy setting?  I've found a series of moves that get to mate in 10.  Anyone less than 10?

Nachos

im interested, can you post it please

Playing white

I've also found a pattern to get to mate in 12 moves.

RN9

Impressive.  I tried it and it works.

scoop3b

Nine moves, but neither side played very well.

Nytik

Yes but Rich, the point of the thread is to see how many moves you can fool LCP on easy mode in. Turns out, 9 moves. (At the moment.)

atomichicken

Yooper, how did you manage to figure that one out?

cowsreallymoo

i think i got it less than 9, im going to see if i remember how

I found pattern because I haven't played for twenty years (even back then I wasn't very good) and was getting destroyed by LCP... even on easy.  I started trying to force LCP into obvious moves by sacrificing pieces early to see what would happen.  The program seems to bite early on captures and doesn't look for early check mate.

As long as you play white, the 10 move pattern works every time.

I tried Scoop3b 9 moves.  It works when LCP's first move is C6.  Nice.

yooper

12 move mate.

atomichicken

Funny stuff. But you know playing that way isn't going to help you with your game! Smile

Best putting your efforts into beating it by playing the strongest moves that you can find.

Mostly done for fun/challenge, but if you set LCP to medium and try same moves you'll see LCP adjust and defend with better moves and that actually did help my game.

i found a way to beat LCP on hard in 12 moves if he moves 2 spaces from his king on his turn. Im playing white.  Moves are e2-e4   d2-d3   b2-b3   c1-b2   c2-c3   g1-f3   f3-g5   h2-h4   h4-g5   d1-h5   g5-g6   h5-h8  Mate!!!!!

lol this is actually only my second time beating LCP on hard

Nice job on beating easy in 9 turns btw

the fastest i beat him was in 10 turns =(

I'm guessing this is why you don't see a move list for playing LCP... Tongue out
