What do you mean by you can not chat? Do you mean you can't hit the chat balloons on the bottom of the game? Or do you mean why don't people chat on chess.com? That's what I'm wondering. When I was in ICC people chatted all the time in the early parts of the games
I wont allow chat. When I see "someone is typing, then I quickly disable chat" 
Cos I know yeah, it is internet, Jaja.
