Chats were funny

Its even worst than it appears. The dog hasn't been fed in years! "a place to share and expose"....
What'd you have in mind? Exposing one's self is only allowed in certain forums, after 10 pm, when no children are in that thread. We're not a bunch of exhibitionist ya know!

yeah I can see how the few who get banned out of the many who should be banned feel like they are singled out. The truth is there is too many idiots and the few who do get banned are probably not as bad as the idiots who flood the forums and chat.

I think they should all start a group: "Getting the Banned Back Together"
In the good old days we could kick it back with the other Templars...but with this new pope, black fridays suck big time!!

The worse part of everything is that Chess.com is giving "the power" to banned people to certain people with very narrowed mind that don't understand the different between in a conversation about racism (or other type of conversation) and being racist in that conversation.
Chess.com going from bad to worse, keep going!

It is indeed baffling sometimes who gets banned and who doesn't.
I remember some live event where one of he commentators had really bad sound quality, bad enough that it was actually hard for me to understand his words at all.
I made one negative comment about it without any bad words or insults, just a comment he should buy a new mic. I was immediately muted for the rest of the event.
Some other guy who was actively disrupting chat was never muted...
Now I guess I can't really complain about it as long as I'm using this site for free, but it sure left a sour taste in my mouth and I'd think twice before I even considered paying for premium here.
To be fair, it's not a problem limited to only this site, overly zealous censorship seems to be taking over the internet more and more. Still annoying if one encounters it.
P.S. : after the event I wondered how the interface for mods looked like. If they had to click on names in chat to do anything it might easily be explained by them having a misclick on the wrong person because so many ppl were talking that chat was moving at a crazy pace.
Would be interested to hear from a mod if it could have been an interface problem...

Chats in Live chess used to be so funny and enterntening but now with all the censorship and the narrow minded people that "supervised" and "control" the chats they are becoming boring.
This place is going from bad to worse, but I guess Chess.com staff feelis really powerful at deciding who can stay on the chats and who will be kicked out.
Instead of creating a place to share and expose ideas as use to be, now is Big_Brother_Chess.com
Good for you, keep going you will see your own dimise sooner than later
