Cheating in puzzles

You should get banned but I'm not sure how they would even catch a puzzle cheater. I just don't move until I know it's the right solution so have a very high pass rate

How do they separate the people who think until they find the solution from the cheaters

Puzzles are the best tool to improve your calculation. Cheating in puzzles is something like you pay money for workout in the gym, you load the barbell, and then instead of training you bring some machine to lift the barbell instead of you. You should not to be banned from chess.com, you should be locked in psychiatric hospital until they find some brain to implant into your head.

Here is an article that explains what counts as cheating:
https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8583921-what-counts-as-cheating-on-chess-comThis article also mentions, "Unrated puzzles and games against computer personalities are the only exceptions [to the aforementioned rules].... since these games and puzzles are not rated or against a real person" (Updated 2025). So according to the article, using the engine against rated puzzles counts as cheating.
HOWEVER, when you sign up for an account, you are not bound by written articles on chess.com, Why? Because you didn't have to agree to them prior to signing up. But you had to agree to the rules and policies that you were presented prior to signing up:
The Fair Play Policy "does not apply to your games that are not against other users, such as in the game mode versus Chess.com computer" (Updated 2024), With this in mind, it is not technically cheating to use the engine with rated puzzles according to the actual rules.
