Chernev's Chess Quiz

I came across this little quiz presented by Chernev in Chess Review in 1939.  Some questions are really easy, some not so easy. I figured some folks here might want to take a shot at it.  I'll post the answers tomorrow.

While this seems to be the least popular posting ever made, I promised to post the answers. So, here they are:

3 out of 13 heh.  More interesting for me to read the answers.  Thanks Batgirl.

Well, I'm glad it was enjoyed by a couple. :-)

I didn't have any idea who the Gentle Iron Man was and only guessed correctly at #9 and #12.

Morphy was a "frequent visitor" at the Duke of Brunswick's box at the Italian Opera House in  Paris during which they played chess (how many times he visited and how many games were played isn't known). During Morphy's first visit, Count Isouard was in attendence and the three played chess during the performance of Norma.  However, that was in October of 1858.  Gioacchino Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia was performed during November and it was during a performance of this opera that the famous Opera Box Game, their second game also with Count Isouard in consultation, was played.
