You should really check out Ebay's rather large selection of chess sets new and used for sale. Most "serious" chess players prefer wooden pieces so you're pretty much limited to the "chess set as decoration" crowd. Again Ebay; and yes, you will need to take pictures.

Okay, I have a confession - I joined so I could see if there is anyone willing to buy a chess board set I have. It is from Afghanistan and has never been used (never been out of its shipping box longer than a one-night display). A friend was a contractor working with the military over there and brought it back with him. The pieces are metal and have the look of the ancient Egyptian gods (Anubis, etc). It's a pretty set, and I feel it is a shame for it to be stuck in a bubble-wrapped box in my closet. I will take/post pics if there is serious inquiry. Thanks.
