Chess Board Set-up Programs

Several years ago there was a program available for windows that would allow you to bring up a chess board and clear the pieces so that you could set-up a position and then post it or e-mail it. The one I had allowed you to vary the color of the board and pieces etc. and it worked well and was easy to use. Sorry if I've been out of it for quite awhile and perhaps this is common knowledge now, but does anyone know where I could find this type of thing? I used to set-up some of Sam Loyd's great puzzles and e-mail them to my few chess friends back then. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. look under the Diagrams link in the upper left.

This looks like something I can use.

Thanks Gomer.

Thanks Erik. I have seen that option here before, but how do I now save my set-up position from that screen so that I can e-mail it?

Click "Position Setup" and then "Copy FEN to clipboard", and the right click and copy the selected text in that window. That FEN is your position right there. You can email that to your friend and he/she can use the "Paste FEN" option in "Analysis Board", and the position will be displayed.

If you want to do this with whole games, you can similarly "copy PGN" in the "Game Editor" window and your friend can "paste PGN".
