They used to have a policy where if you aborted too many games you had to wait 5 minutes between games. The only other thing I can think of is this (from the Fair Play Policy):
On his or her turn, each player has 15-20 seconds to make their first move. If this does not happen, the game will be automatically aborted. This has a negative effect on the Fair-Play record of the player failing to move. (But if you hit Abort, it affects your record! It's best to be patient for a few seconds.)
You could always file a ticket to make sure the developers know. I used to think the code was pretty fixed but apparently it changes as often as the wind. Make sure you tell them what version you're using...
