Can I just point out that while you have the GMT time displayed, UK is currently on DST and is one hour ahead so you might want to put 6am somewhere so it isn't unclear.

What happens if I'm in the middle of a blitz game?  There's a woman I've never beaten, and I will try to schedule a game against her.  Shirley, I will win this one.

And another thing.  I am a retired California lawyer now living in Oregon.  Chess.com is a California entity.  Could I possibly get a court order delaying this shutdown?  It's after business hours now, getting a state court to do anything would be problematic, but federal courts are always open.  I don't have a client or a case yet, and I would have to reactivate my Bar card (inactive 22 years now) but I could do that instantaneously, and it would be the most epic chess litigation ever brought.

That might just save my marriage.

Oh, that is the same hour I had planned the DOS attack to start. I guess I will have to postpone it...

Ah, so you must be the guy who owns the IoT Reaper botnet!

Well, it's the morning after and I don't notice anything different. What happened?

JD mentioned an "overhaul of our network infrastructure" so I would expect that most people wouldn't notice anything obvious. Theoretically, it will improve connectivity and responsiveness.
