Chess Computer and Water ???

This is about the biggest lot of bs response to a serious problem. How do you play ? Let's have a game. Challenge issued.

Filling it with rice did not work. But the problem was cured when I sprayed some circuit board cleaner spray in an aerosol can onto the section where I thought water might have entered. Eureka, it worked again. But then I found out that 4 buttons had now fused with the plastic and can no longer be pressed down from some kind of thinners based lacquer in the can. I am having a workshop look at it. But my advice to anyone. Rice, maybe, but did not work for me. What did work was the air pressure from the spray can which propably dislodged some kind of water particle bond inside. Unfortunately it also caused the plastic buttons to fuse with their sockets. What I should have done is go to a garage and gently use their tyre fill nozzle on the outside at whatever gaps where water could have entered. Hopefully my advice will help someone in time to come.
This computer is, just about, my best friend. Had it for nearly 25 years. I am surprised that when I googled Conquistador, the feedback was "it's vintage". This was about the best you could get in those days and I wanted the best. Had more money and more hair then. I will get it going somehow. I have also come across some sites that offer chess computer swinging competitions, eg my computer is bigger than yours. Chess rules have not changed and I wonder if chess.com permit members to play one computer against another computer, as long as both parties are aware. This would be fun, when my "vintage" Ford T equivalent beats the latest "Ferrari" equivalent.
Yeah, keep dreaming.
