Chess for angry high-strung people?

Sort:
PortlandPatzer

And we pronounce it Ore-EE-gun Not Ore-EE-gone. Give it another go like this one:

There once was a man in the States

Who would take all of Patzers Baits

Though he could let it drop

He just could not stop

And he has just his hand for dates

Just kidding. We all know Rosie turned him down.

Does arrogance know no bounds?

Now boors scream CHECK! at us. Conseqently riling calm-demeanoured individuals (polite, good-natured & well-dressed) to react in anger??

Say ''check'' softly. Then light a cigar...

I must say that your play's not so hot, sir

(why's he so rarely won?

oh, he's from Oregon!

he's the guy they grow all of that pot fer)

7.5 of 12 is rarely won?

that's almost 66% win avg over those 12 games.

Wow, poetically and statistically challenged. That's deficient in both halves of the brain. No need for me to post on Andy anymore, as I can see now what it is that is wrong.

There, there Andy it's OK. We'll make sure they give you your helmet back.

Man, you have a point there. I get at least several games in OTB where I sear to God that the other player has channeled the spirit of Howard Cossell when they play. And when they say check sometimes, it is not just with emphasis, they think they are like the Will Smith of chess or something.

Typically I never announce check as a courtesy to my opponent unless they somehow miss the fact that check has been played.

But yeah, some people....

Seriously. Stop feeding trolls. PortlandPatzer is obviously one of the guys who need to make everything to be about themselves. Just starve the idiot of the attention.

Is that Main or Oregon?

PortlandPatzer

Not sure where the footage is from CP as i do not watch the series if that is what you are asking. I don't think half of them could spell Staunton netzach let alone whittle.

Conflagration_Planet

I'm asking about Portland.

Sorry CP, yes it is Oregon. one of our former (if he is not still) Oregon Champions was Steven Breckenridge and now he is in college @ Texas Tech I think. Another one was Nick Raptis. Both are quite good and Raptis used to play at the same coffee shop i play at all the time.
