How did I miss this one!?! That sounds even worse than health care in the US!

Our NHS is in crisis. A lot of people are dying unnecessarily & 7 million are on waiting lists for treatment. 12 hour+ waits in A&E. Not a good time to be sick in the UK.

As the audience can see, some oldsters are far beyond the therapeutic powers of chess. Another sad case too late to be helped. cry

pam234

Too old to do that now Ratty and besides all my family are in the UK including my 6 year old granddaughter. If I did emigrate I would move to France. They have an excellent health service and I speak the language.

I'd let the camel walk for himself!

Actually, I remember that one too.

I'm too young to remember when Chesterfield had commercials where some guy played a doctor giving advice on cool, smooth cigarettes to a patient.

"Here, smoke these. Cancer never tasted so good!" or some such.

I remember Ronald Reagan advertising Chesterfield cigarettes. He claimed they were healthier; more doctors smoked them than any other brand. Increasing lung cancer--just one more way he helped make America great again.

My grandfather smoked Pall Mall unfiltered. Died with emphysema.

Uncle Pat smoked Lucky Strikes. Lung cancer.

My dad only smoked pipes & cigars and only has COPD.

Sounds like fun!

As we get older we should focus on health. I recently bought a copy of the " Ultimate Walking Guide " as published by " Prevention " magazine, with some good info.

AlCzervik

ultimate walking guide. hmmm...

is it filled with articles telling everyone not to walk into traffic?

chapter two: how to avoid pools.

chapter three: identifying sh!t from shinola.

--- Well it does cover the benefits for blood circulation, also for weight reducing, etc.
