Not me. I think that a sport should involve PHYSICAL skill.
Chess in the 2012 Olympics!

I do - physical skill is nothing without a brain behind it, chess is the perfect "sport" to demonstrate, test, and compete one's mental skill against another; and that is one of the primary essences of the Olympic games - competition.
Just my personal opinion - nothing more, nothing less.

Olympics were originally based on warrior skills. These days you cannot tell me that sitting on a horse in equestrian is a physical skill, nor shooting (except for eyesight). I think a mental discipline such as chess SHOULD be an olympic sport. Texas poker maybe not!!!

I do not think equestrian or shooting should be in it. Physical ability depends on more than mental ability. I think the Olympics should be about finding who's biggest, fastest, strongest. not who's perfected the game of chess the most.

Chess has been removed from OLYMPIC competition. It is NOT considered a sport by me, you, or the IOC. It will NOT be in any future Olympic games.
