from prison to the military - chess

I was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison. During my short time in prison, I enjoyed chess very much. The warden was very nice. He let me have a chess set, books, and an internet connection inside of my cell.

I had a discussion with the warden just recently about transferring to the military. So, I managed to convince the warden about letting me go through the process of transferring. The field officer came to my cell and told me what I should do in the military. But, I told him what I really wanted. So, now I am serving in the navy.

I have yet to play some chess with my fellow officers. Does anyone know what chess is like in the military? Do they have tournaments as I am interested in playing here.

Are you allowed in the military with a criminal record?

Chessrookies posted this 5 weeks ago. Quite a similarity with Social Climber;     " I might ask the prison warden if I can have a chess set in m cell, along with a few chess books, and possibly an Internet connection".                                                                  http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/chess-in-prison---where-i-am-going              They must be brothersUndecided

No officer is morally superior than the average enlisted man.

Yes, but I'm just pointing out that without a college degree, he's not gonna be a Commissioned Officer, at least not in the U.S.         OH!,Surprised  I get it.   He's on the ISIS teamWink     The field officer came to my cell and told me what I should do in the military. But, I told him what I really wanted.     hahahahahahahahaha   We ALL told them what we REALLY want, like the condos and the jacouzzies.        The field officer is a RECUITER!  nice try.             Was that 15 yr sentence for your last thread, "Weed & Chess"?

No felons either. 15 years is a serious chunk of change.

Lets see if we can get him banned for "impersonating an officer" ?

What exactly is the point of these posts?  The op posts a preposterous situation then asks a ridiculous question but to what end?  It's not like the op is even a decent storyteller.  I mean, if you're going to take the time to spin a yarn, you might want to try to at least do a decent job of it instead of wasting everyone's time.

We are pre-mods.  They throw us out there as bait to gather intel.Surprised

No you weren't. If you're going to make up tales at least make them halfway plausable (or at least half entertaining).

Your right. We're ALL serving sentences.

What did you do in military? If I wanted to join military, would they transfer me out of prison to military?
