There is a brand new film on Netflix where, according to the trailer, chess plays an important role. I can't remember the full name, «The cold..» sth. Has anybody watched it yet?

That one! Have you watched it?

Another poster started a thread about the The Coldest Game: Worst chess movie.

Based on its IMDB rating of 6.3 (a collective vote of IMDB users), it's probably watchable.

No.

Examples

-New World championship challenger who is a crazy drunk genius, goes to make ceremonial first move for black the day before the first game, and his mind goes blank after seeing 1. e4

-Then he wakes up after the first game was played and can't remember what happened because he was so drunk during the game.  He has to ask someone, who tells him he won.

- He loses second game because an evil hypnotist is sitting in the audience confusing him...

Thats as far as I've watched.

What a crap! I wonder why films are always so unrealistic about chess.
